Lead Practitioner & Clinic Owner

Dr. Katie Bair D.C., M.S.

As a dedicated chiropractor and nutritionist, I am committed to helping you achieve optimal health and well-being.

My approach to chiropractic care is dynamic and comprehensive, specializing in soft tissue mobilization and physical therapy. I believe in treating the body as a whole, addressing both the musculoskeletal system and the underlying factors that contribute to pain and dysfunction.

In my role as a nutritionist, I utilize the principles of functional medicine to improve health at a cellular level. By focusing on nutrition and lifestyle changes, I aim to empower my patients to take control of their health and achieve lasting wellness.

My passion for health and wellness stems from my own journey. Having fought hard to improve my own health, I understand the challenges and rewards of the healing process. This personal experience drives my commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care to each of my patients. The WellnessWorks vision came to life with the goal of providing a space for holistic practitioners to help patients find their root cause of their symptoms.

As a Colorado native, I am deeply connected to the community. My husband and I, along with our two dogs, enjoy the beautiful outdoors that Colorado has to offer. When I'm not in the clinic, you can find me coaching at the local high school, where I share my passion for health and fitness with the next generation.

Marissa Searle

First and foremost, Marissa is a mom to 3 incredible children, and runs and operates Old Thyme Acres, a small hobby farm in Black Forest, where she holistically raises Mini Nubian goats, chickens, and Estrela Mountain Dogs. And grows her own herbs and food for her family.

She loves hunting, fishing, hiking, and digging her heals in the dirt while watching the sunrise every morning. She loves our Lord and is following her God given purpose.

Professionally she is a nutrition coach, herbalist, organic product formulator, Licensed botanical aesthetician and holistic skin therapist. She is certified in various holistic modalities such as Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Micro-Current, and Micro- Channeling. She is also a current student to get her Massage Therapy License.

Her launch of the Lavender and Thyme Apothecary in early 2023, in a 1950’s-era cabin in the heart of Black Forest, Colorado was “the realization of a vision,” and has put her in a position to improve people’s lives on a daily basis via natural products and hands-on treatment. Her approach to health combines a deep appreciation for the “old ways” with state-of-the-art technology and access to therapies that were as yet undiscovered in agrarian times. “I’m 100% committed to natural therapies with nothing artificial allowed, and am interested in true healing … treating root causes of problems instead of merely addressing symptoms.”

Functional Neuropsychiatric Practitioner

Ashley VanderJagt, PA-C, MMS

MEND was brought to life by Physician Assistant, Ashley VanderJagt, whose passion for understanding the human body and neurological system began at a young age. A Colorado native, Ashley always knew her path was in medicine, leading her to earn a Bachelor's in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder and later a Master's of Medical Science from St. Francis University through Red Rocks Physician Assistant Program. Since 2016, she has worked in neuromuscular specialties, including orthopedic surgery, cranial neurosurgery, inpatient neurology, pain management, and interventional psychiatry. Her love for procedures also led her to become certified in aesthetic injectables and therapeutic neurotoxins. She also became a certified practitioner in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy through the Institute of Bioidentical Medicine. Currently, she is expanding her expertise by completing a fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry and becoming a certified functional medicine provider through IFM.

In 2018, after receiving an unexpected neurodegenerative diagnosis and navigating life as a wife and mother to 2 young boys, Ashley took her health and practice into her own hands. She experienced firsthand the frustration of not receiving answers, being shuffled between medical specialties, and feeling disconnected from her own body and mind. Determined to take control and reclaim her well-being, Ashley created MEND to help others return to their native roots, focusing on symptom management and disease prevention. With MEND, Ashley is dedicated to guiding others toward reaching their highest potential, both mentally and physically.
